Dolphin, Sissy and I arranged a rendezvous with Jose–Bear in Pasadena only to see the Longhorns lose the national championship to Alabammy. Results aside, we had a grand time. I'm fairly certain we are the only fans in Rose Bowl stadium history who began the day with a Hyundai tailgate and then watched the game from a luxury box.

After we took our beating, Sis left town and the rest of us retired to Venice Beach to drown our sorrows.
